Phil and Pat LaForge, Madison, WI - Bathroom Remodel

Phil and Pat Laforge were our July 2008 Client of the Month. As past clients of ours - we did their roof, siding and gutters back in 2006 - they were happy with the results of that project, so when it came time to remodel their master bathroom, they turned to Frey Construction once again! (and what an honor it was!)

Phil and Pat had a few items they wanted addressed in their old master bathroom. They wanted a larger shower and because they hardly ever used it wanted to remove their old corner whirlpool tub. Working closely with Scott and Jenn on the redesign of their bathroom - they were able to come up with several different design options - a few included the same layout and design, but just re-arranged some of the fixtures, as well as a few designs that would eliminate a wall in the bathroom and extend into some space that was a hallway closet.

The Laforge's fell in love with a design that expanded the space of the bathroom, giving them a larger shower, as well as a larger closet within the bathroom. Next came selection of the "fun" elements. Phil decide he would like a steam shower, complete with a bench, multiple shower heads and body sprays. He also wanted a soaking tub. These items were brought together beautifully with custom tile work, which was again incorporated as a back splash for their sink. Sauk Prairie Cabinets was able to make a custom vanity like the one we'd seen online - so that we could ensure the correct finish and warranty the work.

Other nice elements included in-floor heating, a Broan ultra-silent fan in the master bath and Kohler EcoSmart toilet.

We also switched out the vanity tops, lighting and towel bars in the other bathrooms to give them a fresher look.
