is the best warranty available. For these reasons we are proud
to offer this Lifetime Limited Warranty, which we hope you will

Lifetime Limited Warranty Coverage: Gerard Roofing Technologies
("Gerard") warrants that each Gerard Roofing Panel/Product
will be free from manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials
for the lifetime of the original owner(s) or, if transferred
by the owner(s), 50 years from the date of original installation.
Gerard Roofing Panels/Products: are weatherproof; will withstand
winds of up to 120 miles per hour; steel substrate will not
burn; will not be penetrated by hailstones under 2 & 1/2
inches in diameter- rendering the panels non-weatherproof; and
the appearance of the surface coating of the panels will not
materially deteriorate beyond normal weathering. Gerard will
repair or replace, at its option, any panel(s) determined to
be defective.
Transferability: This Lifetime Limited Warranty automatically
transfers to a subsequent property owner(s). YOU DO NOT HAVE
TO NOTIFY US, OR CONTACT US. This is a valuable provision of
your warranty and enhances the value of your property; we encourage
you to keep this warranty with your permanent records in a safe
place.
No Other Warranties: This Lifetime Limited Warranty is the only
warranty given by Gerard (no implied or other expressed warranties,
oral or written, have been made). (Advisory: Some states do
not allow limitations on implied warranties).
This Warranty is Subject to the Following Terms, Conditions
and Disclosures (Please Read):
- This Warranty shall not apply to: Gerard Roof Panels/Products
not installed by a Gerard factory trained installer or contractor
("Gerard Roofer"); damage caused by failure of the
Gerard Roofer to follow Gerard installation instructions;
damage caused by excessive or abusive traffic or other misuse
of the panels either before or after installation; damage
caused by the application of non-approved/authorized cleaning
fluids or other coatings; or damage from the failure or movement
in the structure upon which the roof is installed. Advisory:
While we expressly warrant that the Gerard Roof Panels/Products,
themselves, will not leak and will withstand 120 MPH winds,
whether a roof covered by Gerard Roof Panels/Products is leak
proof or can withstand 120 MPH winds, depends upon how the
Gerard Panels and other Roofing Products are installed and
secured to the roof. All Gerard Roofers provide a separate
warranty covering installation of our panels/products. If
you experience any problems or have any questions regarding
the installation of your Gerard Roof Panels/Products or your
installer, please contact us or visit our website to obtain
a current list of Gerard Roofers.
- CLAIMS PROCEDURE: If a problem with the Gerard Roof Panel(s)/Product(s)
appears which the owner believes is covered by this warranty,
the owner must send a detailed communication to Gerard either
in writing at the address set forth below; or electronically
through its website at www.gerardusa.com, together with the
Warranty Certificate number. Please include your name, address,
and telephone number(s) and a detailed description of the
defect or problem and any other information that may be relevant.
- Dealers, distributors, and installers are independent contractors
and are not authorized to extend or modify the terms of this
Lifetime Limited Warranty in any manner.
- Gerard shall have no liability for any consequential, incidental,
economic, indirect or special damage or loss of any kind,
whatsoever. (Advisory: Some states do not allow the exclusion
or limitation of incidental or consequential damages).
- No warranty shall apply to any Gerard Roofing Panels/Products
that have been modified, altered or changed in design or function
after it has left Gerard's facilities. This Lifetime Limited
Warranty shall be void if any service or repair contractor
who is not a Gerard Roofer or otherwise approved by Gerard,
in writing, does any repair work, except temporary emergency
repairs. The replacement of any Gerard Roofing Panels/Products
by Gerard shall not extend the term of this warranty except
as required by law, and/or agreed to by Gerard in writing.
If any provision of this Lifetime Limited Warranty is held by
any court of competent of jurisdiction to be invalid, void,
or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in
full force and effect.
